Training Courses

Article 20 of the Radiological Protection Act, 1991 (Ionising Radiation) Order, 2000 requires that 'specific and appropriate training in the field of radiation protection is provided' for all employees (or students / apprentices) working with sources of ionising radiation.In order to assist our clients in complying with this legal obligation, Radiation Safety Ireland will develop and provide in-house bespoke training courses at your site. A range of one day training courses can be tailored to suit specific client needs and can be undertaken in-house on your premises at a time that suits your operational needs.
All in-house one day training courses cost 1400 Euro, regardless of number of people attending (max 10 people per course), and this includes course notes, formal course certification and all expenses.
All training courses can also be run at a reduced cost of 1,000 Euro at the Radiation Safety Ireland Training Room at Sheetland Road, Termonfeckin in Co. Louth.

The course content of the above radiation safety training courses can be amended or combined to create a bespoke training course to fulfill all of your organisation's training requirements.Radiation Safety Ireland's training courses have a strong practical element and include a number of group participation and problem solving exercises.

An examination is undertaken at the end of each course and certificates are provided to all course candidates.
